Greetings from the Virden Skate Park Committee. We have come together to build a concrete skate park for enthusiasts to enjoy within the Town of Virden. Many families in the Virden area drive to parks in neighbouring communities due to the lack of facilities. We hope to draw enthusiasts to Virden which will help support local businesses in turn. Our proposed design will be approximately 6500 square feet. The projected budget for Phase One is $274,000 which will include all site work, park construction, signage and lighting. Phase Two will consist of landscaping and beautification of the site following initial construction. The proposed budget for Phase Two is $20,000.
